5 days tour from Marrakech to Fes vía Merzouga

Day 1 : Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – 5 days desert tour

In today’s program we will start our 5 days desert tour trip from Marrakech till we get into Sahara desert. We will across through the famous road in Morocco the High Atlas, this road is a series of Mountains which stretch from the Western of Agadir on the Atlantic Ocean, and the highest head of this mountain series is Tobkal which located in the Southern-east of Marrakech. Through this interesting path we will pass the highest road in Morocco Tizi N’Tichka from where we can observe wonderful views, and then we will continue through that road till we reach into Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou, it’s called the Hollywood of Africa because several movies were filmed here such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones etc. After that we will arrive in the gate of Sahara desert Ouarzazate in where we are going to stay.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges – Tinghir – Toudra Gorges

Skoura is our destination for today’s program, it’s also seems as Basin in its Geology. Then we will visit the Kasbah of Amrehidil it’s a part of Skoura palm grove alongside more. After that we will leave through Kelaa mgouna, which known with the rose village, to reach into Dades Gorges, on our way to this last we will see a natural view on one of the mountains it looks like Monkey, at that time we will walk a little to enjoin the fantastic drawing of Dades Gorges Road. Before the day ended we will return to the Todra Gorges through the same path to discover this beautiful and natural place more. We will spend our night at one of its hotels.

Day 3: Toudra Gourges – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga

Along the path of Southern-east most of the villages are small and the people who are living there are humble. We will across very simple villages most of the times are quite and calm, also the majority of its people are Berber such as Tinajdad, Mellab, and Touroug. Then we will reach into Erfoud the capital of producing date in Morocco and we may see the fossil production workshop before leaving to Merzouga desert. Later on we will be in the beautiful sand dunes of Erg Chebbi crossing through the wonderful and the oldest road of Paros Dakar, by arriving there we will have the opportunity to see the panoramic view of sunset, and at night we will chose a hotel to stay there.

Day 4: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga

Today we will explore the sahara desert more, first of all we will visit the most known village of Khamlia this traditional town is originated by the people from Mali. Along this day you will try new things that you may have never tried before: from riding camels playing drums with the Berber Gnaoua and testing the Moroccan Sahara tea etc. Erg Chebbi is the best example to discover the beauty of the Sahara desert, it’s very known now a day around the world because of the competitions which are practicing here such as the 4×4 Competition, Marathon and so on. Our night will be special because we will stay at one of the Berber traditional camps.

Day 5: Camel Trekking – Erg Chebbi – Ziz Valley – Cedar Forest – Ifran – Fes – End of 5 days desert tour:

The second morning at the Sahara desert, but before the day rising we will be waiting for the gorgeous view of sunrise, and then we will prepare ourselves for leaving. To get in Fes we will across through the Middle Atlas road, and throughout our destination we will see a host of breathtaking views also we will pass through several famous cities and villages in Morocco such as Midelt (the apple city), Azrou (the forest of barbarians monkeys), and to not forget the frozen city of Ifran. Our 5 days desert tour trip will end in Fes.
